    Hi I have also just joined, last week I started building the Golden Hind model that has been sitting on my shelf since lockdown toward the end of last year. I've just been putting it off thinking I'll get round to it someday. I'm so pleased that I've made a start as I'm really enjoying getting back into modelling. This is my first ship and I'm busy painting the hull with enamels. Just wondering if anyone can offer advice please on the best way to paint the green and red triangular markings on the side of the ship? Is there a good way for someone who does not have a really steady hand? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
