  1. Yes, 20 years ago I made the first model. Since then, I spend all my free time only on ships.
  2. Actually this is my third big ship. Before that I built BON HOMME RICHARD and HMS BELLONA.
  3. Decorated under the balcony. It was not on the drawings, but I saw it on other models, and therefore decided to do it.
  4. As far as I understood, McArdle drew drawings from the museum model, and not from the modern one. As I understand it, at that time, large-sized glasses could not be made. Therefore, it will be correct to make small squares on the windows.
  5. Here are a couple more photos where you can clearly see the windows at the stern.
  6. There are more bindings on the museum model than on the blueprints, so I did a lot of bindings.
  7. I made according to the drawings of the author of the book.
  8. I also cut the grille for the windows on a cnc machine
  9. I drew the decor on a computer, then cut it out on a cnc machine. Then I finished it by hand.
  10. Then I began to make the stern of the ship. I redid it 3 times. I didn't like the result.
  11. I put the guns on the deck, now I can sew it up with boards
  12. Then I started making guns. At first, the master made a model from wood. Then I made a silicone mold with it. And then I started casting cannons out of tin. Then I electroplated the cannons with copper and blackened them.
  13. Put the pumps on the deck and began laying the next deck.
  14. I cover with oil inside and out to the same level.
  15. At the same time, I cover the outside with oil to the level of this deck
