    Hello KLarsen Well yes, we are very close to each other. Good to tell you that with the plans I had and with documentation of the work of other colleagues I have been able to carry out this project. The woods that I am using are of all kinds but more or less the ones that you can find in any kit. In my case I managed to find a lot of wood for modeling for a good price, and they range from pine, manzonia, sapelly, walnut, etc. Any questions I will be happy to clarify.     Hello everyone. My name is Jesus, I am from Seville (Spain) and I am passionate about modeling. So far I have assembled several commercial kits, but I have always wanted to build "from scratch". A year ago I embarked on the construction of HMS Victory from some old plans that I found. I hope to learn a lot from all the teachers here. The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
