    Hello everyone and thank you for letting me join this group. 

    I'm Eric from Glasgow in Scotland, a proud shipbuilding country. I'm  fairly new to this hobby having only completed the Mantua Mincio and most recently Amati's Fifie. The latter was a great build and I love the plank on frame design but it has shown me that I'm not great at sewing sails or rigging. With that in mind my next project will probably be a non sail variety ship and I'm looking at Occre's Ulisses tug or Billings' Nordkap or Smit Rotterdam. I liked Amati's clear instructions and was wondering if I could handle the, can I say, the somewhat sparser directions from the other manufacturers. Am I being too ambitious?

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
