This is an OcCre albatros 1/100 from which I've read it a ship of their own design.

Yes it will be planked. It's planked on one side already that's on the inside, once glued in place the other will be planked.

That would be a good idea but I had to put veneer on the bulwark that goes on the inside and the actual bulwark piece is one solid board as this is an OcCre kit.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, tips or tricks for attaching the bulwarks. Since I'm new to this and my first build, I'm not sure because of the bend, I don't want to break the pieces. I have the one dry clamped as seen in the photo. The directions don't say other than to attach them on both sides. Also what kind of glue does everyone use? I've been using gorilla wood glue that dries clear and just starbond super glue which hasn't been too pleasant as I kinda get it all over my fingers lol.

Hello all, I'm Sean. Completely green to model ship building. I wanted to give it a go as I rather enjoy putting things together. I did a bit of research before deciding to go with a ship to see what would be involved as far as all the tools I would end up needing and what kind of complexity this modeling involves. Decided to go with the OcCre Albatross 1/100 for my first as they said it was a beginner kit. So I've begun, put together the false keel and put decking on so far. Made a little mistake with decking as I followed the directions but didn't think about it until it was too late that in a small section the deck boards don't line up.

Planking disaster
in Building, Framing, Planking and plating a ships hull and deck

Well finally finished the first planking. I guess it it's not too bad, seeing how now I'm going to use crack filler on it. Then the second planking which is like a walnut veneer. Don't know if I should use contact glue or not as I've never worked with that. From what I've read and heard once you stick it, that's it.
