  1. Hi to all members My name is Andy Gray and I am relatively new to the world of building wooden model ships. I started a year ago with HMS Endeavour from Artesania Latina and it has taken me just under a year to complete (will add photo at the end of this) I had a lot of help with this first build by following John Aliprantis on his Youtube build log and like him I found the planking of the hull fairly difficult, but ended up with something that is about passable. For my second build I have bought HMS Victory from Caldercraft and will be starting this in the new year, but before then I intend to read and learn as much as I can about the build from people like yourselves who have much more ability and expertise than myself. One thing I do want to do with Victory is add lighting in areas such as the gunports and the officer quarters but my knowledge of electronics/LED installation is very limited ( However I did manage to get 5 leds wired up and working on the Endeavour) If anyone has any useful tips/info on the installation of a lighting system on Victory I would appreciate your comments. Things like what size LED's to use 3mm/5mm, what voltage should they be, how are the cables layed on the ship, where the cables exit the ship, how the LED's are fixed to the gun ports, at what stage of the build are the LED's added etc etc. I would really appreciate any help you can give me
