BLACK VIKING Posted September 17, 2017 #1 Posted September 17, 2017 Hi all I have just started rigging the guns on the main deck as they are under the cross deck and would be a pain to rigg them after it was fitted. The problem I have are the guns fitted with in haul tackle or were they pulled inboard by hand like the Vasa . I have looked for any reference to this but can't seem to find any . jud Posted September 19, 2017 #4 Posted September 19, 2017 (edited) When heavy guns are free to move with the roll of the ship, both in-haul and out-haul tackles are needed to maintain control of the gun. If your guns are ran out and secured, the in-haul tackles could be stored out of the way, but the deck rings should be in place for them. jud Edited September 19, 2017 by jud BLACK VIKING and mtaylor 2
