Read the instructions once-over, inventory the parts -- try to get a sense of how it should come together. Read the threads on hull planking and have a look at some examples in the build logs. Ship Modeling Simplified by Frank Mastini is a good primer if you haven't yet done any reading. Relax and don't be afraid to start cutting and gluing -- everyone is a beginner at some point. Cheers!
