My questions are ,

1: how wide from the outside of the station to the inside like 1/2" inch , 3/4" inch , 1" inch & should I use 1/8" inch lite ply , 3/16" inch?

2: For the " keel " what should I use , like solid piece or laminate two pieces of lite ply ?

3: for the planking what should I use? & what thickness?

Any and all help will be very appreciated & Thank You

If you glass the hull, and resin it inside, you can build it of nearly anything you like, even cardboard.  I gave some thought to building an Essex class (actually Ticonderoga)  boat in 1:96 scale and if I hadn't come to my senses, I would have built the framing of 15/32" ply covered in 1/8" luan (doorskin), and wood strips for the rounded bits.  Covered all that with 4oz glass cloth and poly resin outside, and a couple of coats of just resin inside.

I build all my hulls this way, but a slab sided steel ship allows using sheet goods

I would recommend giving us a few more details....😁

The scale isn’t enough-  what ship, or how big of a model?

A Nimitz class carrier is 1100 feet long, while a WW2 Escort Carrier is under 500 feet. Are you building a  27 inch long model, or a 5 footer, or something in between?
