Hi everyone,

I’m busy with Hasegawa’s 1/350 Mikasa kit. The kit depicts the ship as it was during the 1905 Battle of Tsushima Strait. I have the turned metal barrels from Master of Poland for the primary and secondary guns. I think I have a solution for the 12-pdr/3-inch/7.6cm guns.

What I am looking for, however is a source for 1/350 4.7cm Yamanouchi 3-pdr (heavy) QF- guns and 1/350 4.7cm Yamanouchi 2.5-pdr (light) QF-guns.

Does anybody know a source for these guns? For the 3-pounder, the Hotchkiss 3-pounder might be a good choice, but it looks like the 2.5-pounder is slightly different?

It looks like the writer of this blog thinks the guns were placed differently than Hasegawa instructs? Anyone have thoughts on that?

Cheers,

Erik.
