bruce d Posted December 29, 2023 #1 Posted December 29, 2023 OK, here goes. There has been discussion lately about the Ultimation tools, especially the hand-disc sander. There are other products of similar concept in use by jewellers and picture framers. I am making a hand powered disc sander along those lines but not a copy. The prototype is encouraging. Looking at the jigs and fixtures I will be using it would be easy enough to make multiple assemblies. Without commitment, is anyone out there interested in one after the trouble-shooting is done? Bear in mind I am UK based. Daniel Kimmer Posted January 1, 2024 #2 Posted January 1, 2024 Yes I'm interested in purchasing a small hand operated disc sander. I've been trying to find a 4 to 6 inch (100mm to 150mm) size. Something that would fit easily on a work bench or desk to allow fine sanding and trimming up tp a line or creating a controlled angle or just a perfect 90 degree cut.
