Model shipways HMS Vanguard

Recently got a model of Nelson’s HMS Vanguard the manufacturer is model shipways. Anyone know how this kit  compared to the victory models kit

I wasn't aware that Model Shipways had ever offered that model, but it looks like they did for a short time. You might want to check out this build log for the kit:

It's the Amati/Victory Models kit designed by Chris Watton, manufactured under license by Model Shipways. Be aware that since you have the MS version, you're going to get MS off-the-shelf fittings instead of their Amati counterparts.

As has been pointed out, Mold Shipways made the HMS Vanguard kit under license for a while, like they did with the Robert E. Lee kit. The MS Vanguard kit doesn't include the optional parts for HMS Elephant or Bellerophon. 

 

As Chris points out, the MS fittings may be different from the Amati ones as well. But, you can always buy Amati parts if you need any of them. Ages of Sail should have them.
