Fun day today. Finished planking then sanded the hull. Covered 1/2 the hull with  Artist Loft Modeling Paste from Michaels. Modeling Paste works great as a filler and sands out very smooth. I filled 1/2 for the photo and will fill the other before I turn in so they dry overnight.

It hardly smells so you may like it. It also spreads like whip cream.

Michaels also has great acrylic artist paints that in my opinion are better than Tamiya and Model Expo and come in a wide range of colors. They are Liquitex Acrylic Basic Fluid (professional artist paints). When you use them they don’t leave brush marks and are very reasonably priced ($6.99) and you always have a 30% coupon. If you look at my Bluenose  log you will see how nice they are.

Thanks to all of you for the kind encouragement. Will lift anchor in the AM and start boat cleanup. Will post photos in my log when finished.
As Always Best to all of you!  Rick

Got up this morning and started sanding the filler and then primed it with Liquitex Gesso which is a superb primer and also available at Michael’s.  Reefed my sails and am sitting back and enjoying the day.
