Floyd my friend.

That second planking of yours looks really nice,
I am still debating for single or double.

The single (1.5mm walnut) is tough as the single strip wants to another way than the profile of the hull.

Looking good! :10_1_10:

Per - Its neck and neck. Who will finish first? I am close. I hope to finish the planking on both sides tomorrow.

Floyd,  you are way ahead of me, besides if I am to do a second layer I am way behind.

I found America easier to plank with walnut due to her lines.

I thought you were only going to do 1 layer. And so you only had 6 planks to go on each side. And since you don't have cut your planks from a sheet you should finish before me. I am about 2/3 of the way thru cutting my Starboard Planks. We are going out tonight so I will have to install tomorrow.

PS After seeing the results on my Port side. I will always replace any wood that is not painted and visible with wood from Jeff. It is just that good! I wish I had done the whole hull with his wood. It is going to take one heck of a sanding job to get the other wood close to how nice his wood looks. As they say you get what you pay for. It might cost a bit more but is very much worth it.

Hi,

I purchased my Harvey in 1985 and after installing the false deck I compared it to the enclosed plans. I  had to stop the build because

my ship was about two inches shorter on deck than the plans showed.

If you have the plans for the shorter model I would like to buy, beg or borrow them.

I can be reached at (address deleted by moderator)

I'm in need of the plans of the Harvey 1847 A.I., The only print I have is #3. I don't know where to look for the others. I purchased the kit on line a few years back and put the build on the back burner until recently. I know I don't have all the parts nor all the woods, but they can be made mostly from scratch.

Can I have help on locating the prints please.
