Good to see the site back after the tragic loss of so much good information.

I have just started making the Mantua kit of HMS Bounty (kit 785) and have just got to the stage where the skeleton is assembled.  Looking at it, there seems to be a slight misalignment of the frames to give a smooth run for the planks and it seems that the problem might be overcome by swapping frames 4 and 5.  Unfortunately, the whole thing is now glued and would be very difficult if not impossible to separate at this stage.  I have emailed Mantua to see if they are aware of a mis-numbering of these parts and am awaiting the outcome of their deliberations.

Has anyone else made this model and if so did you have a similar issue?

Hi

I think i am at the same stage as you and had not noticed this (i am quite new to this and assumed the bits would be correct) i have just tried fitting the deck  and it seems like it needs a lot sanding and frame 5 building up on the top to make it fit and frame 4 will need building up on the edges

Welcome to MSW Roger     You might consider posting a little intro about yourself in the New Member forum.

Note that you have posted in a threat that is 10 years old so it may not get a lot of notice.  (I hope I am wrong😀)   Consider starting a build log in the appropriate place with photos of your dilemma.

Good luck in your endeavor.
