Many thanks for the kind comments! First, I rubbed all surfaces with a very old tack cloth made by Detro. I am not sure what is in this cloth, but it works very nicely - the package says it is wax and silicon free, but I can feel something almost oily in the cloth. Once everything rubbed and cleaned, I sprayed clear satin polyurethane by Minwax. This gives the results seen in the photos. ERS Rich 1 Quote Link to comment

Vytis Posted June 13, 2021 Looks really good. Swift was my first ship model built in '97. Yours is much better. I am revising the plaque I got for this boat.Best I can tell, the scale is more like 1:40 based upon the plans in the Royal Museums Greenwich. Not the first time AL got the scale wrong!
