Joe Jordan's Models

 

Joe Jordan is a longtime, award-winning Pennsylvania-based ship modeler and active member of the Philadelphia Ship Model Society (PSMS). Joe creates many of his impressive model ships and boats from scratch and also from kits across a wide variety of maritime subjects. You can see his kit-built and modified models in the Completed Kit Gallery.

 

I recently had an opportunity to photograph several of Joe's models. I present some of these photos here in two galleries for Model Ship World members. His model photos will also be seen on the Philadelphia Ship Model Club web site in the future. When the photos on the PSMS site go live, I'll update with an appropriate online link here to the club's web site.

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
