USS O'Bannon By Rich Hephner

Scratch built USS O'Bannon. Fletcher class destroyer famous for cruising the "slot" and several actions in the Pacific. Paint scheme is from July 1943 (except for the blackened funnels which were a mistake that I kept because I like the look.) Some third party photo etch parts and 3 printed doodads, but mostly basswood, evergreen polystyrene, and soldered brass.

Thanks! I used plans from the USS Abbott (https://abbot.us/plans/) and a set I got online, but I’ve had them for so long I can’t remember where I got them.

Wow, very nicely done!  I build kits with PE and other aftermarket parts, but couldn't imagine scratch building these kinds of ships.  Well done!
