There were taken last week, but unable to upload them. Took a while a couple of nights to drill and sand the gun ports.

Here I marked out the hull for the water ways and the gun port holes, follows by a very long two days pre drilling the holes cutting and and filing .... Never agian.. Well Till Next Ship.. Not sure really what I should save for?

Right this was my last post before the sad melt down. I have down more work and kept a own off line log, but ill back up all this just in case.

second layer of hull planking. sanded to a good point, and ill re sand, when the hull is ready to paint.

These next group of Pictures are of the first layer of hull planking. It did not go to plan. I Glued the stem to soon I managed to cut it out. fill and re attach. Was not trying to ruch, More thought it would be better to plank to it for a neater edge.

Not sure what I wrote for these Pictures, I'll prob edit this later But as you can see I planked the deck and the poop deck, I did not really like it as I read the manual wrong, I cut the strips 60mm instead of the 100mm. From past comments and we discussed the will be a lot of activity on the deck not to really notice. Although I was tempted to go in to costa and borrow a few of the little wood stirrers.

Keel laid 26/12/2012 1835: After spending good few hours Christmas day, reading the manual and the plans. I’m ready to begin, but the wife had other plans, I could not start until she went to work the next day. Although I knew I had this kit (I was with her when she brought it, just to make sure it was the right one). J This is the first wooden kit i have ever built i have built a few wooden planes when I was a kid, and Plastic kits. So we shell she how this goes. Keel was a little warped socked it in a little hot water and waited it for a few hours for try get the warp out, not pined it on the plinth of wood (for storage) Ribs glued and checked for squareness. Only problem I have come up with yet, and I have re read the manual a few times over is the 5mm holes needed for the mast. Do I Pre drill before a plank the deck?
