Keel laid 26/12/2012 1835:
After spending good few hours Christmas day, reading the manual and the plans. I’m ready to begin, but the wife had other plans, I could not start until she went to work the next day.
Although I knew I had this kit (I was with her when she brought it, just to make sure it was the right one). J
This is the first wooden kit i have ever built i have built a few wooden planes when I was a kid, and Plastic kits. So we shell she how this goes.
Keel was a little warped socked it in a little hot water and waited it for a few hours for try get the warp out, not pined it on the plinth of wood (for storage) Ribs glued and checked for squareness.
Only problem I have come up with yet, and I have re read the manual a few times over is the 5mm holes needed for the mast. Do I Pre drill before a plank the deck?
