  1. Hi Pete! Yes, I use bamboo for masts and spars in almost all my projects, with a few exceptions. They're just bamboo toothpicks. I treat them with sandpaper using a borax machine. But you can't overheat the bamboo. I usually print an electronic drawing in the size I need. I use a steel medical needle to make these parts
  2. Many thanks. GrandpaPhil, Pete and Mark! That's my third slipway. This device really makes the job easier. Such small and short projects are sometimes necessary for me to distract myself and test some new technologies. Beat Regards! Igor.
  3. Then I placed the bottle on another slipway, pulled out all the gear of the standing and running rigging, fixed their CA, cut off the ends and set the flag in the stern.
  4. Then I took the model off the slipway and stuffed it all into a bottle, applying some silicone sealant to the bottom of the bottle beforehand. I placed the boat's hull diagonally and left it to dry.
  5. I made thinner rigging yarns, made new stay ropes, finished the running rigging, added the tiller, the flag on the bowsprit, painted the underwater part with copper and reassembled the whole structure on the slipway
  6. Hi to all! One more of my small and short projects. You can read the story of this boat HERE So, first, I made the basis of the boat's hull.
  7. Welcome, Niallmhor! Now you're still building ships in bottles? Best Regards! Igor.
