  1. Thanks for the reply, Scott. Yes, I missed the Mizzen Crossjack until you pointed it out. Thanks for the reply and the info. And, yes, I know Pacific City but haven't been over to the coast since Covid started. Your Morgan is outstanding. Pete
  2. I have no experience with W-O-P yet. One of the members hads a negative comment about acrylic. What is the problem with the acrylic vs oil-based? Pete
  3. Your Morgan looks great! I appreciate the well-worn look you have given it I am about to begin working on the masts, yards and the rigging but have a question I hope you can answer. On my plan sheets there is one sheet which depicts the foremast and the mainmast face-on. They show the masts, yards and outlines of the sails. But I find NO depiction of the mizzenmast. Do your plans show this and if so, on which sheet. Thank you for your help. Pete
  4. Letting just the little end of the bit stick out is a great idea. Wish I'd thought of it. Hope you don't mind if I steal it from you when I start my treenailing. Pete
  5. Been watching your build for a while. What a treat! You're doing beautiful work. I admire your skill and perseverance. How deep are you drilling those treenail holes? Pete
  6. Not new to ship modeling but new to the NRG. Started on plastic ships and planes when I was a kid and the desire stuck with me. Began wooden ship modeling in my early 20's but never enough time to do much with it. I am now fully retired with some time to work seriously on my hobby. Was accustomed to solid hulls until I met the MS Chas. W. Morgan. What an eye-opener! I love this site, especially the build logs. They give me something to aspire to. Almost done with the Morgan, then on to the A L Endeavor and then USF Confederacy. Can't get enough of the logs. What an engaging, informative learning experience! Pete
