Testing time....... I have created test battle station to work on the artillery rigging. I have chosen this picture as a reference and will do the tackles like this.
This is my interpretation in the scale. The breeching rope is easy. For tackles I use 2x 2mm single blocks with hook strap. The brass eyelets will be replaced by nicer ones on the ship. I run the rope several times through the eyes for tackle hooks and secure in the middle of the tackle. This partialy hides the blocks which is good and I think this is not very common on the models. I like it lot. What do you think?

Second attempt with bobstay turned out much better.
The rudder tillers from thin ropes look also much better!
And the whole ship

Continue with almost invisible details. I have added Iron pins to rudder hinges and simulate iron belts on boat davits using coper tape.
I decided to finaly glue the coamings to the deck. Some holes in the deck were slightly larger then the coming and There was visible space between deck and the coaming. I have used the pieces of the scrap deck wood to fill those holes.

As the hull is coming closer to finish I have to work on all very small remaining details. This time Just Iron work.
Traveller (it is so small that my poor camera couldn't catch any more details)
Some more eyelets for sanding rigging. With the thimble for bobstay and 2 on each side for bowsprit shrouds.

Right channel with chain plates and deadeyes. Temporary mast with thread tied to the shrouds height to check the direction of the chain plates and also the inclination of the deadeyes.

Thanks a lot @Gregory, will try that!
Did I say that binnacle house was small? Here is the first gun assembled. The square on the pad is 1cm. Even it is very small it is very very detailed. My plan was to fully rig it with tackles (not included in the kit). Not sure if it will be possible but will try what I can do!
I have received those testing blocks with hooks Just for this purpose. I think it could work. Blocks are only 2mm. Will see.

Thanks for the likes!!
So I was able to glue on the stem!
I think it turned out very well! It's not 100% perfect, but they are all minor things I can improve on in my next build!
The last thing to do before I plank above the wales is to add in the vertical gun port walls!
Thanks!
Jeff

I have shaped the rudder tiller and did the tiller tackles. The end of the rope will end on the rudder tiller as well, this is just temporary fastening on the cleat as I'm not sure about the colour of the tackle. This thread is supplied with the kit. The quality is fine but I'm not a fan of that white and glossy colour. I'm thinking of replacing it by my own thread with matt tan colour.

Instalation of the rudder braces to the hull. It took me while to figure out how to position it properly. At the end I clamped the plank to the keel which protrude to the stern and fix the rudder to the position. Once I was happy with the position of the brace I marked the position with the tape. Remove the rudder and glue the brace.

Hello all!
I've been super busy, so not too much time to build. But for an update, I have faired the hull as well as finally added the correct rabbet strip. This should help with planking.
I also have had to create a new stem piece because the one provided wouldn't fit properly with the rabbet added. I debated on making the individual pieces or making it as one piece. I decided on 1 piece because of a few reasons. First, it's small scale, so it would be harder to make all the pieces. Two, this is my first time trying to make a stem out of just a sheet of boxwood. So making one piece would be a good intro into making custom parts with my scroll saw.
This is how it turned out:
I am pretty happy with it! All that is left, is to cut out the holes according to the plans. It is slightly (1%) bigger than the kit supplied stem piece.
Hopefully I will have time to finish it this long weekend.
Thanks!!!
Jeff

Next deck details....... Two last hatches, flagpole planks and sail boom pad.
I have also started with fastening of the blocks in the eyes where hook is not used. It would be really tricky to do this on the ship so I decided to remove the eye, Fast the Block outside and put it back. Will do this for all eyes which holds block this way.
