    I spent 18 months in River Section 512 in 67-68. First crew then boat captain on PBR-148. I would be very interested in this if it comes about. It’s disappointing to me that the Mk1 has almost disappeared from history. And I agree that the green color of the boat at the start here is very odd. My recollection is that it should be a much darker green - more OD. Also who put that forward gun mount on that hill? That’s a mount from a MkII. Mk I had a higher profile and the guns were side by side in the center of the tub.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
