You could use the laser cut out to get roughly the shape and then sand it to match the plans. Be patient with the alcohol to unglue, It takes a while for it to work and you may have to apply it a few times. Make sure to soak the planks well-- 5 minutes or more in warm water before your try to bend and attach them to the model. Once they dry completely, the shape is pretty close and it is much easier to glue them in

    There are 3 LST museum ships in South Korea in 2021. I'll compare them and select one of them to build 542-class LST ship. 👍

     

    I found a plastic kit and gave it to him to build. He did a pretty good job!
