Important notice about a fraud using AL
Artesania Latina replied to Artesania Latina's topic in Wood ship model kits
Please notice this problem is back. We're back to trying to stop this activity. Thank you. -
Some unboxing! Not a bad idea, we're sure it will be a great model. On the other hand… We’re not looking to start or fuel any controversy, but we also think it wouldn’t be fair to stay silent after reading some of the recent comments on the forum—some of them (now deleted) even bordering on disrespect, coming from people we honestly thought were gentlemen. Perhaps we’d deserve criticism if we had simply brought back the same model we created 20 years ago, just to make use of the ‘HMS Surprise’ name. But that’s clearly not the case. We believe most of you already understand the time and effort required to create a brand-new model—this project didn’t start two months ago, or even a year ago. And about the string duo figures… we’ve been designing figures for our kits for years—ever since we created those for the three caravels about seven years ago. As for the idea of including one of the film’s most iconic scenes on this ship… well, no one would’ve come up with that idea — it must’ve been some impressive espionage work. We truly appreciate the passion and dedication of this community. Constructive feedback and open dialogue are always welcome—they help us improve and, above all, keep alive the shared enthusiasm that makes model shipbuilding such a remarkable hobby.

Dear friends, We need to inform you that customers are being targeted by a web spoofing scam involving our brand image. We don't know the exact scope of the scam or which countries it affects, but we are aware of at least three URLs that are copies of our website, offering our catalog in a supposed clearance sale with deep discounts. The scam is being advertised through various Facebook and Instagram accounts. We are taking the appropriate legal measures to try to stop this activity. Our website is artesanialatina.net, no other. Thank you for your understanding.

Need AL HMS Bounty rigging instructions
Artesania Latina replied to Willem Basson's topic in Wood ship model kits
We uploaded to our website in this reference's product page some plans we were missing. Please take a look! -
Yes, shipping costs are free in our website for orders of this kind of ammount to any point of the world. In the other hand please notice this doesn't include any taxes or other ammount customs may require you to pay once the order arrives to your country, which would be your responsability. Many thanks and best regards from Spain.

Paper templates are always included in our model when we think they are a help for the assembly, avoiding a lot of measurements and consequent mistakes. We firmly believe instructions videos are by far superior to the typical instructions with pictures. That doesn't mean we don't understand some people still love classic printed instructions, even if they are clearly not enough for many people to build the models today.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
