I've been struggling somewhat to clamp the deck to cross beams without a ton of undo stress....which I was in no way kicked about having in such a tiny structure. So I unloaded it by about 50 linear knife cuts and 10 or so side to side. I can now bend her with gentle pressure

And if I come off looking any brighter they're inlaid so as that it looks as though plank butts to a cross member. I'm not proud of it but it's the first of my booboos probably yet to come ;>)

No me neither but booboos must be covered. I drilled a messed up set of holes. Today I drilled a concave in a nail and set some. 020 nails

I planked top,but. Wanted different so broke up that big surface with darker cross members. Probably not correct but with other stuff and brass nails hopefully will fly

My guess is that if all masts align and top duck is trimmed up to or slightly inside ribs it will allow hull planking

I'm guessing I was to sand the the edges of main deck till the ribs are a bit proud. I have no nails stain or top coat on because I think I'll be bending it to fit

Hey where could a guy find tiny nails like .020 shank or smaller. Preferably black??

I painted these barrels and put em in. You know if my gal hadn't caught me I was gonna put one on bottom 2 on top just to see how many never caught an upside down pile. Ah well

Made a wee telescope on my Milwaukee m18 lathe out of an old brass nail we had. .085 front objective lense...610 long w/Black bands on table

I'm trying to get an idea from artesania,,,,har har...as to whether the nails go just into deck. Or deck and cross beam? I assume the first..I'm just stripping randomly. Hope it won't bite. Would love to know which edge alignment was most critical

Bought some oak edge veneer yesterday. Using a propane torch and socket to get in radius. Slow but works very well

I broke down and put in little 2x5 mm frames for couple bed rolls. I'm not kicked on having, but . Made up 2 spindles on my Milwaukee m18 lathe today

OOOKAY for anyone who wants large amount. Like upwards of 6. Guys ya gotta run them wires ,and let me tell ya...OMG..I've flipped this puppy more times than Sunday AM eggs.... EDIT::::I just became aware of something very useful..simple yet useful..I was trying to run these micro wires everywhere.Meaning I needed the $ of all longer wires and trying to wrap 18 ends 9 red 9 black...so this AM I went out to shop..got 2 lengths of 24 gauge. Drilled 1/8 holes in ribs for it to go full length..then I marked on it where each nano wire came out. Stripped.put back in and wrapped the nano wires around where appropriate. Now my battery and switch are just at one end.. not worried bout juice cause 9 wee wires would easily use 1 24g

These lights are great ,but to not see wires is ticklish. I had to run a couple right on rib 😩 so I'll have to put a laminate on both sides of rib..one side not to see plywood and the back to bury wire..oh well

As mentioned I'm thinking this mid level done. Can anyone see anything I missed? I'm not as much worried about more decorations as I am anything structural that would bung me latter..please feel free..I've seen some smart folk on here

I cut some extra balsa I bought today. Put a top 1.5x5 walnut rail on 1 1/4 finishing nails cause I figured maybe bales could go in bin..Does anyone think they'll be in the road as I build up?
