    That's correct. I had a large magnet, but it attracted the clamps and almost ripped the planking apart. So saw it was.

    Thank you. We have family coming in and out of town this week, so I'm afraid that the shipyard will be empty of workers for this week.

    Port side gunwale glued in. I'm going to do these one at a time so I can maximize the clamping.

    The gunwales are fitted. It took some time to get them right. I hope they dry well into position. I did cut away more of the frames than I should have. As the instructions indicate the frame head irons will cover the gaps.

    The bands have been sanded, and the frames have been cut down for the gunwales to be installed. The port sheer plank came away from the transom, so a little re-glueing was called for.

    Seat risers installed, bands fitted.

    Thanks, there is a gap between the plank and the stem. I think some wood filler may be in order.

    With the starboard sheer plank fixed, on to the seat risers.

    Thank you @druxey for the suggestion. I should have added more water to loosen up the plank. After a terrifying "crack sound" I was able to re-glue the plank into the correct position.

    Side cleats installed.

    Should I taper the starboard sheer plank to even out the bow?

    Probably the most embarrassing photo yet. The false stem is in place. We can see the unevenness of the sheer planks and some warpping on the starboard bow.
