  2. I am here to follow and cheer you on. My first tall ship build was the Revell Cutty Sark )1:96) kit from 1969. It is still proudly displayed in my parents home. I was a youngster with keen eyes and a steady hand then but I still build the model ever so often to remind myself of how great the experience was. My main recommendations: use brass eyebolts for any "load bearing" rigging, use wooden or metal blocks (usually the smallest size available): and fashion your jib boom and top masts out of wood by duplicating their plastic counterparts. These are the parts that break over time. Also, make sure you wax all your standing lines.
