Hi Everyone,
I’ve just finished planking my latest model, Occre’s Belle Poule, a French frigate built 1815 ish. I decided to see if I could go from bow to stern using a single plank. I’m quite pleased with the result as it looks nice and tidy with virtually no filling. But, is it authentic? I find it hard to believe that it would have been built this way. So, can anyone point me to an article that describes how the hull of a frigate of that era would have been made?
many thanks,
ian
