  1. Rigging is not the easy thing to do even on a small ship of sail..🤪
  2. Taking a break from doing the rigging and started my ferret mk2 scout car. Doing Canadian version without turret.
  3. Did some work on the lower port side shrouds and even some rat lines. Made a few blocks.
  4. Spent most of the day making kingposts and dead eyes etc and added shrouds to rear mast. After rigging the port side shrouds to the channels and chains, I thought good but after a few hrs I felt something was wrong. Then sadly I noticed the channel dead eyes were wrong. Grrrrrrr. Need to redo them. Wasted time.
  5. Another evening has come. Decks almost compleated, need more furnishings then on to the more tedious work….rigging and making deadeyes and blocks. Someone still using the head.😜
  6. Still working on the decks, main deck laid , forecastle deck laid as is the poop deck. Need to make some deck furnature etc. but some stowaway is using the port head.
  7. Guns and port hole covers on, working om decks and a wee bit of rigging.
  8. Yet another day done. Short time spent finishing gun port hatches. Cut some dowel for yard arms and tied them up to see what they would look. My Airfix 1:35 scale Ferret Scout Car finally arived after over a month. May take a ship break and do the ferret turretless version that I drove and later commanded back in the mid to late 70s.
  9. So ends another day but not a lot done. Made some hatch rope. Adding ropes to gun port covers and then install.
  10. Done for another day. Channels on and port side anchors tied up. Next up main deck install and guns?
  11. The nice thing about being retired is time on my hands and winter. No golfing.
  12. Base made, hull all planked, need to work out channels an additional windows/gun ports in quarter deck.
  13. Not sure if this passes muster but here is a canon I made in 1/35 scale as that of the 1/72 scale.
  14. Heading out of town for xmas so everyone have a good holiday🎁🎅and stay safe.
  15. End of a day working on the GH. After grinding the filler blocks on the hull one needed a shower and a xmas cheer of eggnog and a double (maybe a triple) shot of grog. Took no pictures of rough filler blocks as there is no need to take Bakers title of ugliest hull pictures on MSW. Part of time used to make a start on gun port hatch covers and rudder.
