    Done with painting and almost all the wood is attached then onto the sails and rigging

    This is my first build and I have pretty much got the hang of things so far with the decent instructions I’m a couple weeks in and am waiting on some paint and stain to arrive before I move on. More painting and than rigging and making the sails. It’s been some learning by reading and some guessing I am excited to get this one finished and start my next build.

    This may be my favorite boat in Seattle I’ve only been on a couple times once at harbor days in Olympia and then last week for the holiday light cruise I would really love to build a model of this someday hope you are able to get this one done

    Howdy yall im Andrew found this while looking into starting the hobby and have since began and am loving it. Currently working on a kit muscongus bay lobster snack and have made great progress a bit at a time. I will do a build log for that once I get a chance as well as another kit that I picked up that will be using a different set of skills as I learn. Thanks for all the knowledge and information as I’m sure I will have some questions along the way

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
