  1. What do you mean it will be a while, we need to see it NOW, how difficult could making tiny, perfectly fitting pointy sticks be anyway??!! Amazing work dear sir, simply amazing!
  2. Thank you all for your kind comments. Having enjoyed the work so much, and taking only a few months instead of years, I think I will be working on other cross and stern sections in the future! All the best
  3. Some photos of my recently completed cross section, complete with internal lighting
  4. I just climbed aboard, this is a fascinating project, Druxey! it's nice to see you working on something that is an actual challenge for you, and truly wonderful to see your masterful execution!
  5. Thanks Gahm, happy to finally have her done!
  6. some finishing details I forgot to post, flag making , blocks and cleats. Used deadeyes , small blocks and hearts from Chuck Passaro's Syren Ship Model company, but made many of my own as well.
  7. I ended up making my own cleats and shroud cleats though!
  8. Thanks Chuck, having your beautiful laser cut blocks and deadeyes available made that part of my job so much more pleasant!
  9. I have many more shots available , feel free to ask if there's anything specific you would like to see. thats it for now, thanks all

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
