I just came across this build, years later, but I just wanted to give my compliments on a beautiful completion of a fascinating historic ship.

If anyone is still following this, why is the standing rigging white rather than the usual black or dark brown? Maybe I missed the explanation in the build log.

Congratulations - a stunning build!

 

If you're interested I have some images of the carvings on the starboard side aft. Only two are painted anyway - according to Fred Hoeker they are of the King & Queen of Poland (Gustav Vasa was at war with them at the time...). Not surprisingly, he is depicted as a drunkard and she as a harlot!
