Hi-

Ron here from Saratoga region NY.  Im new to Model Ships. Grateful for nice website and I start with apologizing for this common question, and thanks in advance for any guidance you may offer.

What should I expect to sell the following Model for?  A friend died and I agreed to sell for family.

Its mostly plastic 36” USS CONSTITUTION. Had very nice detail:

rope coils, metal chains, guys in life boat on back. Even aging on painted oars.

Appreciate any guidance-

Keep it and enjoy it. You are not likely to get a reasonable offer for a plastic model however well done. Not to mention, shipping would be very expensive.

A case will cost you several hundred dollars. You can use an air puffer to blow dust off and keep it looking fairly respectable. Is a case worth it? That is up to the individual and I would think that most people would only case models which they have built.

Completed scratch build: The armed brig "Badger" 1777

Current scratch build: The 36 gun frigate "Unite" 1796

Completed kits: Mamoli "Alert", Caldercraft "Sherbourne"
