I have the Mantua 1: 78 kit. Before I start this kit I am trying to work out the contents of it.  The one thing I am stumped on is a long Strip of 3mm brass with a groove down the centre. I cannot find any pictures or instructions of where this strip is for . Can anyone please give us a hint.

I think, but don’t quote me on this, it may be for the mouldings down the side of the hull. My 1:98 Victory came with similar in photoetch.

I didn’t use them.  I replaced them with card, which looked a lot better than what came with the kit.
