I need to know if the two wheel cannons on the top deck of le soliel Royal were rigged to the hull. I can’t find any information regarding this subject. Year 1669. 1:77 scale wood. Thanks. B Edward

Thanks for your reply. The top deck cannons have two wheels up front and the back of the carriage rests on the deck. IMG_5961.thumb.jpeg.4083a2e02e0c0aa3dfaca8ad3ce53065.jpeg

The cannon carriage has two wheels up front and the rear drags on the deck. There is an extended portion at the rear of the cannon that is curved up. This enables the gun crew to move the cannon for aiming. I did find pictures of the cannons that were rigged to the ship for recoil purposes. I am rigging the cannons to the side of the ship and this looks great.
