hornet Posted October 31, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) Today marks 100 years since the first convoy of 30 000 Australian Troops left from Albany, Western Australia, for the Middle East and on to Gallipoli in World War One. My stepson is a crew member on board the Collins Class Submarine H.M.A.S Rankin - Which is taking part in the Australian Navy Sail Past as part of the commemorations in Albany this morning. A very exciting day for Albany!!!!
