  1. What a surprise to open my laptop this morning to see an old post of mine of the Schooner for Port Jackson. It was a great pity that all the old postings of years ago was lost as I had submitted quite a number of builds both timber and plastic. My first post to this great site was the Anteo Tug boat built from scratch, Very pleased to see this build revitalised . Ginger.....(Les Rogers in olden days)
  2. When this model first came out a friend of mine was given it for a birthday present. Unfortunately he became unwell and I built the model for him. It was an interesting build considering its history. A very important part of Australia's early maritime days. Ginger (les rogers in the old days)
  3. Well it has been some time since I visited this site and had to rejoin. My old name was Les Rogers but now I am Ginger! I need help and it would have to come from Aussie members, I am looking for info on a cutter I think was built on the Manning River nsw and was skippered at one time by Capt. James Thrower who was drowned whilst mapping the Bar at Urunga in 1846. It was aprox 33tons and worked between Sydney and Bellingen which at that time was a ship building port. The Urunga Museum has the headstone from the Capt`s grave on display at its entrance. If I can find out enough on this vessel I will build it for the Museum. Any lead will help. Regards Les
