    Great kit, I got two of them, one with most of parts lost. Too bad the real Hildina sunk (within a year of her commission I think),luckily without any casualties. There were so many trawlers built that looked similar, you could probably build any from this kit. How about a peaceful Soviet trawler like this one:

    I was able to apply a decal on fabric a while ago. Transferred it on just as you would do on a hard surface and then applied Solvoset, decal application solution until it completely dissolved the film, sealed it with dullcoat spray

    Hi Bob, how is it going with the build? putting together same thing, partially with boxwood.

    Just in case - Rub n' buff has several shades of gold. If you are afraid that gold will prevent seeing fine details, bitumen patina liquid can be used to bring it up. Here is an example of it used (not on gold though)

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
