Hi Gaetan! Wow what an impressive build!!! Never seen anything with this kind of scope and difficulty but your work sure is inspiring to say the least! Simply stunning!! I'm new here and so glad to have found this forum to learn from! Gaetan I have only built one ship from a kit the Benjiman Latham but it came out quit well I think, anyways I want to do a scratch build next and have ordered the Le Gros venture monogram and am in high inticapation of receiving it,that being said I think it may be to ambitious of a first scratch build project. Is there something you could recommend that would have say a practimum to go along with a first time scratch building attempt? I am going to need lots of help I'm sure! I don't mean to bother you and this may be the wrong place to post this question but I'm new here and I've got to start some place. By the way your work and skills are just amazing to say the least!!!! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of documenting your build with so many fine pictures and details,it sure is helpful and inspiring to myself and others I'm sure! Thanks! Craig

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
