Greetings, My name is Ralph Cooper and I am a Member of the Merrimac Valley Ship Modeller's Club in Newburyport Mass. I consider myself a Neophyte builder with SO MUCH to learn. I have built 10 models of increasing complexity until I just finished the HMS Bellona, a 3rd rate ship of the line that took me 2 years, 2 months, and 1850 hours. What I have learned so far is that I know nothing in comparison with some of the members of the club that have been doing this for a lifetime. To me, compared with some of the excellent work they produce, my work is rough but I want to get better. I have been at it only about 7 years and all I have really learned is that I have everything to learn, so finding a site such as this is a goldmine of info along with the experience of the members of the Merrimac club. I look forward to tapping into this treasure trove

here to continue to build my skills as far as possible. Included is a short film of the Bellona, hope you can't see all the little mistakes and rough areas!
