    I've been procrastinating with this next bit, with shift work and kids, I finally disciplined myself and put off doing the ironing to work on the bowsprit collars and stepping the bowsprit.
     
    Each of the collars had to be stropped first which is remarkably easy, as was the lashing eventually. Once I finish off a few more stays I shall try my hand at a ropewalk for the preventers.

    Awesome work! looks like you are building most things from scratch. really nice!

    Just a note, the spreaders on the trees are supposed to move the stays out and it does angle them.  Just like you have it and it's the same on the real ship.  modern small sail boats use the same principle.

    Ok, back in business, I originally saved each photo since 2009 in separate files, and will upload all eventually in order. The hull and first layer of planks of course is first, and the second layer with 5000 treenails. Last photo is where i'm up to, fitting the masts. More to follow. Thanks to the adminsitrators for their persistence.
