Thank. In the background the frigate Enterprise is waiting for its turn. This will probably be the first frigate of the opening series of English frigates of the 18th century. I found quite a few English frigates with a similar hull. And they will probably all be built on a 1:36 scale. I prepared one case for machine processing. This shell is collected from several parts and cut from alder wood with very high accuracy. To make such a body pretty quickly. The product is very durable and light in weight. These frigates are very similar in hull structure with or without a gallery.

Hello dear colleagues. I have been looking for a topic for a long time in whom I have not done publications for a long time and it has gone far. However, Chuck Passaro - MSW Admin kindly helped me find the topic. Many thanks to him! Here I publish the finishing photos of the fully-finished model of the imperial yacht Standart. The work that lasted for three years was finished.

Hello dear gentlemen! Thank you for appreciation of my creativity. I am very pleased with your praise. It is very important for me.

Again leave a link to my new site (details section for ship models) Here are the latest photos of the construction of the Imperial yacht Standart. The model is almost finished. It remains for me to make four boats and restore order with the help of wax mastic. In the construction of this model, I have widely used the manufacture of metal parts by the method of precision vacuum casting of investment wax. This is the very method I use to create parts for very different ship models.

Hi Tony ! Indeed, the site has no prices yet. I will eliminate this flaw in the future. In the meantime, I tell the price in personal correspondence to anyone interested. The price of the set of drawings of the imperial yacht Queen Victoria is 50 euros. In addition to the drawings, I have the matrix of some important metal parts and can help to produce. The appearance of the finished yacht can be viewed in the section "Ship Models"

Hello. I do not use photoprinting or 3D printing. I use 3D milling (model wax) and vacuum casting. I make parts of very different shapes and sizes so I can answer your question not very extensively. For example: cylinders and paralelepipeds with dimensions of 2mm x 20mm and 100mm x 15 mm are convenient in operation. Large thin-walled parts are best done with walls from 1mm to 2.5 mm. I make smaller hollow parts with wall thickness up to 0.5 mm. It is also possible to manufacture parts with a length of no more than 25 mm and a diameter of 1 mm.

http://www.shipmodels.com.ua/catalog/Accessories The details presented on my website are made by the method of vacuum-casting of brass and bronze using wax-cast wax models. I used this method to manufacture all metal parts for the HMS Cumberland ship model and the imperial yacht Queen Victoria and for many of my ship models (photos are in the posts above). I accept orders for the manufacture of parts for any ship on any scale according to your drawings, sketches or photographs. I use 3D modeling to get the first wax model that is processed on a CNC machine. After receiving the first wax model, the jeweler makes the casting of this model in the metal. After that, I make silicone matrices for this metal model. With the help of matrices, I propagate any injection wax products. According to the mass models, the caster casts mass products.

When transferring content from the old site to the new programmers lost a lot of information. Now you have to restore yourself. The site is still in the process of developing and updating information. I will definitely make this link.

I made my new site. On this site not only ship models, but also a huge selection of parts. You can also order parts individually for a specific ship.

Made a table and chairs in the interior. This can be seen through the windows of the cabin. There will be lights inside.

And this is a few photos of the imperial yacht Standart, the construction of which is already being completed. According to my calculations, it will take me another four months of work to complete and install all the details.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
