    Too much if the fat rods!

    I have all these rail supports and no rods that fit thru the holes. Thats why I need the thin rods. I have way more of the fat rods then needed. Hmmmmm

    I made a display base out of mahogany with the brass supports I bought with this kit. I’m having a brass plate made that says “F.D.N. Y. Fire Boat”

    Mr BlueJacket your kit didn’t provide enough grab rail rods F1159 to finish all grab rails. there is too much ladder rail rods. i need F1159 thanks

    Moving right along with rigging and fittings, i raised the fire boat’s ensign today

    In case you’re trying to figure out how the water cannons suddenly appeared, well, I built them during the weeks i had to wait for the kit to arrive.

    Adding more detail. Decals and running lights. the superstructure broke off the hull so i had to re-glue it?

    Adding details to superstructure and marking with tape to make sure superstructure is located correctly when glued

    i marked the deck with tape to make sured when i glue the superstructure it is centered

    Still adding derail to the superstructure

    i finally adjusted the base of the superstructure to sit level on the deck so when i glue it later it won’t wiggle loose

    Finishing up the superstructure. It’s not attached to the hull yet. a lot of little details yet to be installed

    I finally finished the gunwales! Now i can move on the the superstructure more than met my eye!

    Gunnales are close to finished. Some filler then more sanding then paint IMG_0787.MOV

    I made some sanding sticks to fine tune the finishing
