  1. Hi Marcus The goal is to integrate 3D printing, model building and metal machining into a single showcase for the disciplines...Therefore not to much detail as regards to a particular ship... Thanks for the feedback Andre
  2. Definitely my most challenging Plasticity creation so far (beginning stage shown).... Concept for a Ship section that I will 3D print in PLA and Resin (for smaller parts) and turn the canons out of brass... Photo off the internet but don't know the ship. Also some artistic license.... Will make the STL files available on completion. Can obviously be scaled but I am aiming at a 16" high model
  3. Good day from South Africa I am 56, male and a Control Systems Engineer by profession. I am an avid RC helicopter pilot and modeller ( see attached, 2 of my models). Got into machining as an extension of the model building and as an exercise, I fond a nice cannon to make. This led to that and…well I am hooked on naval guns. Next project is a post mont Falconet…(hope that is what it is called) Wonderful work on this site…well done to all
  4. Good day Happy to have found this site. Thanks for admitting me. This started out as a machining exercise, but the project now spiraled into a whole new dimension. I will try and emulate some of the magnificent dioramas on here. Solid brass - Total length 220mm Not perfectly to scale, but I am happy with the results
