  1. Much agreed. Watco is great stuff. Linseed oil is also great (hard as a rock) Consider using clear finishes to bring out color (vs colored satins)

  3. Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! As with just about any hobby, there tend to be a few stand-out sources for where the enthusiasts go on line to buy parts, tools, kits, etc. I am wondering who tends to have the best overall pricing and selection. In this case, for wooden ship models ("Really?"), specifically, sailing galleons, and other 1600-1800 era sailboats. I have found so many (Modeler's Central, Wooden Model, Nature coast, Blue Jacket Ship Crafters, to name a few). Any suggestions are much appreciated! Hal in Excelsior, MN
