Doing some progress with sails bending , mounting the yards and running riggings. Unfortunately run out of 4mm blocks. Just ordered and waiting for them to arrive. During this fase I learned a lot about sails and for the next project I will have a different approach. I will sew the bolt rope and the clew patches onto the sails, and I will use a different method for the bending.

HMS Bounty - Artesania Latina model
Amedeo Riga replied to Drew Mackay's topic in Masting, rigging and sails
Great model....can i ask you something about this model as i m thinking to start this same project soon. This is the Artesania Latina kit right? there is only 1 planking for the external hull (like in the original bounty) or there is a second planking? thank you -
Yards completed. The mode has his own spot. Now I have to put the modeling in pause for the next 3 months due to the job. See you in December…

The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
