Hi, Gyula! Will you post some pictures about preparing the plans? I wish you successful work. Looking forward to see your pictures.

Thank you for re posting this beautiful build. Very clean work indeed.

I understand perfectly. This is a good way to to begin. What company did your lasrer cutting? It looks very good.
Russ
Here, in Sisak, there is an small workshop with a laser cutter bought in USA.

Russ I plan to build plank on frame model, but this is just to see in real world the hull shape.

If you mean what I am using to draw the plans and templates, then it is ACAD. I am using an older version of it, 2000i. It does everything I need it to do to get from the computer screen and into the workshop.

It was my bad English. I use DelftShip to define the hull's form (3D modeling) and CAD for constructional details of the ship. Do you use DelftShip or some similar software?
Sorry for misunderstanding.

Hi, Russ!
What software are you using to model the hull?

Nice build, Arjan. I like your approach to the building process.

You have interesting clamps when planking. Is it commercial staff or you made this by yourself?
-
Thank you Bob! This time I will make complete drawing set, until last nail. In my previous build I have several improvisations because I started as soon as I finished hull form. I was very impatient to start.

Beautiful small ship, I like this kind of vessels.

While resting of my first scratch build, I am planing to start another ship of the same type. During the building of the previous ship I learned something about it. This time I will not start with real works until I completely finish the drawings.
I started with modeling the hull using DelftSHIP Free.
This is, at this moment, the idea how the ship will look like. It will be changes until I choose final version.

I like this build! There is no limits when choosing the material for the model.

Nice ship, Sarah! You are doing great work! You use nail polish in shipbuilding? Inventive!
-
Thank you Slagoon, it helped.
-
Is it professional version of Scetchup? Beautiful project!
-
I also use DelftSHIP FREE. It is good for modeling the hull and I am very satisfied with it. You can export the hull lines in DXF format and this file open in some free CAD program (Proge CAD free let's say) to make constructional details.

... I have minwax stains around and will try those.
Please, can you tell me what is minwax? What is it's use in everyday life?
Thank you

Beautiful ship Anja. Really well done, carefully and precise.

Ahoy Mates
Ben and Cog: "OK" the little light bulb lite up after I pulled strake 17 off. It was only being held by the pins to shape it. By carefully shaving back the garboard I was able to create room for 16
I was really nervious about cutting the garbaord "LOL" but it was what was needed. Thanks guys
Dida: Thanks for stopping by. No laser cutter, just a very sharp knife, and some beer.
This is good news for me, Pett: I have sharp knife and the beer is not a problem.

Hi! What do you use to make metal eye link black? Some chemical or the paint?
