  1. Hello mihai

Excellent start to your build. I am looking forward to following your build log. I have just ordered this kit today, so you keep posting plenty of photos and enjoy your build. Best wishes DAVID

Hi David and welcome to my log. Congrats on the purchase, she's a nice looking ship. Looking forward to see you start the build. Good luck and enjoy.

    Cheers,

    Mihai

  2. Hi all,

I decided to go with the hull planking first and after start the deck planking.

With the first layer I kept it simple, nothing fancy, only a good support for the second one. I forgot to take some pictures with the first stages , I have only the finished product, first planking sanded down and ready for second layer.

  3. Hi Mihai

It is a very nice ship and a great model. I look forward to your progress. I'm a slow builder of the same kit in the HMS Fly version and I'm sure we can share tips as all builders here do.

    Cheers

    Alistair

    Hi Alistair,

I saw your progress on the Fly and it's a great job so far. Love the deck planking, looks good and clean. For my ship id decided to plank the hull first and after that the deck. Will see how will turn up....

  4. Welcome to my new build log the HMS Pegasus. :piratebo5:

After some very nice builds that i've seen here, I decided to have a go and I hope I will not mess up a very nice ship...

With this ship I also changed the manufacturer, from Mamoli to Victory Models and it looks like I made a good choice. I opened the box and the stuff inside looks like good quality, hope that will also be the feeling after i'll start building.

Hope you will enjoy the build and as always all advice and comments are welcome :D

For the moment a quick look to the items inside the box

  5. Congrats Mihai. A very nice built.

Do you have a buildlog for Halifax too? I'm not able to find it and I'm quite interested to see it.

    Keep up the good work

Thank you, i had a build log for Halifax but after the big crash i had only the pictures with the finished ship and i decided not the restore the log since i didn't have pictures with all the stages of the build

    Cheers,

    Mihai

  6. Mihai,

Well done!!! Very nice work on the sails. What's next ...

    Hi Carl,

Thank you, with the sails i can't take all the credits, i had a little help with their manufacture... On the matter of the next build i'm not 100% sure what i'll choose. What i'm sure of it's that i will change the manufacturer, probably something from Victory Models - Pegasus or Mercury or Vanguard.... I'll probably make a poll and ask for opinions

    Cheers,

    Mihai

  7. Hello, I have yet to see your build log but I would like to say that you are doing a great job.   Your ship has some really nice lines.  I like the balance between the painted lines and the exposed finished wood, as well as, the bow and stern are very royal and strong looking.  Keep up the good work.  You chose a great kit to build.

    Brian

    Hi Brian,

Glad to see you following my log, i wasn't sure whether i should paint the ship or leave the exposed wood and just varnish it, but now i'm pleased with the choice i made. Thank you for your consideration and i hope to see you here again

    Cheers,

    Mihai
