On to the forward cant frames.... The templates for the frames were down loaded and printed from a CD provided with the book.

After carefully insuring the proper assembly of the stem and knee of the head as well as the after deadwood and stern post against the plan, I endeavored to build and assemble the hawse pieces.... My building board was a 3/4 inch thick particle board sealed and painted white, on which was glued the hull framing guide. The board was then screwed into my work bench to keep it structurally ridged.

Here is the aft deadwood construction. I used a black conservator's marker to simulate the tarred felt used along the joints.

Thanks Mark and Rob, Here is a bit of a look back/review of my build. As I mentioned before, I am building a fully framed model per Allan and Wayne's Euryalus book and plans. I also obtained copies of the original builder's draughts from the NMM. Additional references that I have relied upon during my build are the Fully Framed Model, HMN Swan Class Sloops 1767-1780 series by David Antscherl and Greg Herbert and Ed Tosti's book The Naiad Frigate (38) 1797, all from Swan Books. These books along with the many excellent build logs of MSW have helped me take on this project. The model is constructed in the up right manner, with out any building stages or hull fixtures. The Hull framing and structural components are Swiss Pear wood, milled to the proper sided dimensions by Jeff Hayes at The Hobby Mill. Templates are copied/printed from the plans provided in the book and are pasted to the sided stock with an elmer's glue stick (easily applied, easy to clean off after the "saw pit" sessions).

I started this build in early March of 2012, and like most model shipwrights here, my build log was sacrificed to the computer gods. I do not have a copy of all the associated posts of the old log, but I do have photos. I am using the book and plans from Swan Books' Frigates of the Royal Navy series: HMS Euryalus (36) 1803 by Allan Yedlinsky with the plans by Wayne Kempson, and my wood is from Jeff Hayes at the Hobby Mill.
